"Carrol and Matt went above and beyond. Exceptional service and tailored advice. Prices weren't half bad either. Would definitely go back."
"Fantastic shop, staff are so patient. Grainne was great with my 16mth old who has refused to put a shoe on to date. We left with a happy little girl walking out the shop in a pair of shoes! They have a great range and we will be back!"
"I am always happy that I went here. I travel especially to come here. I have 4 children so shoes and runners is a significant expense. The shoes and runners here are such good quality that they last until the children outgrow them and even then we can use as spares. They do really good waterproof footwear. Really excellent fitting service. One of ny children had flat feet and another a hip issue. Originally recommended by Physio. Lots of time given. Staff are very knowledgeable about feet and are also patient. Advice is spot on. They will keep bringing shoes until child is happy and it fits well. Will definitely be returning."
"Will always go here to get my child their footwear. The staff are knowledgeable, patient and just fantastic at dealing with kids. The lil one would especially like to thank Amy for her help in choosing the ideal purple boots and pink wellies."
"My wife and I have been going to Cripps a few times a year for 8 years to get shoes for our kids. We have always enjoyed supporting an independent shop and have generally had a good experience of the quality of the shoes and the service. Unfortunately customer service ends as soon you buy the shoes. On my most recent visit, while getting measured for a new pair, I commented to the assistant that my son’s last pair of shoes were falling apart a mere three months after buying them. She proceeded to present me a selection of the same brand of shoes for my son to try on (blithely unaware of the irony it seems) and then she brought the manager over to discuss my issues with the old shoes. The manager maintained the shoes just had normal wear and tear. (The soles were coming away from the uppers, the leather was peeling off.) She insisted my son must be using his shoes to brake on his scooter, even though he doesn’t use a scooter. She was almost accusing me of lying that the shoes were only three months old, despite the fact that he hadn’t grown a size. I was pretty calm and polite and wasn’t even asking for a refund, just some acknowledgement that the shoes were faulty, but she simply turned her back when she’d had enough of me. Suffice to say, our years of business with the shop are at an end, and we have found an alternative independent shop instead. Just a note of advice for Cripp’s, there’s more to customer service than selling the shoes, and sometimes you should show more loyalty and courtesy to your customers than to the manufacturers of the products you stock."
