"Wow! Travelled from Eastbourne for our visit after reading some very positive reviews. We were not disappointed! Arrived late due to horrendous traffic but staff were OK about it. We had a selection from the tapas menu. Ordered 6 between us, bit of a mistake as portions were very generous. Each dish was fabulous. Highly recommend chicken skewers (wonderful taste), ham hock croquettes, pork bites and mackerel pate. The Better Half is a lovely, interesting, quirky pub with a great atmosphere. Staff really good. Also, dog friendly so we can bring with us next time. Want to try their Sunday lunch next. Well done The Better Half. Very, very impressed."

"Lovely ambiance and food was nice, the staff were also lovely and very helpful. They are dog friendly and are obeying all COVID restrictions. The only downsides were that the pasta and burger dishes could do with a little more salt and the portions were a bit on the big side. Otherwise a lovely pub and would recommend!"
