Reviews of Hector's Shed
"Hector's is quirky rather than flash. Not a lot of space inside and the staff actively manage what they have when it is busy. Very friendly, dog friendly. Food is simple but good. Coffee and cakes are excellent. I believe there were vegan options."
"Although this is a great pub for a drink and obviously very popular for its Sunday roasts, it didn't quite live up to our expectations. I went for the pork belly roast which was generous in proportion but very greasy. My husband had the fish and chips which he said was pretty tasteless considering we were yards from the sea ! Great friendly staff and good atmosphere so would definitley go back and happily drink here."
"Love this cafe. Staff are always friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. All the food is good but the bread is gorgeous. Coffee and hot chocolate are totally recommended. Love it!"
"Quite different from all the other cafes in the town. Much more personal and good value with delicious home made cakes and scones and a great choice of oven baked potatoes with toppings, sandwiches, Welsh rarebit, wraps, etc to eat in or outside as well as takeaway. Very friendly staff and quirky. Whilst the coffee lacked flavour (not tried the CBD blend) it was compensated by the good humour, friendly atmosphere and empathy with their customers. No facilities, not good for pushchairs, but dogs are welcome."
"Came here on Saturday lunchtime with my mum. Managed to get a table inside. The lovely friendly waitress came over straightaway to clear and clean the table and left us with menus to study. We opted for two mugs of 'proper' tea. Followed by a jacket potato with tuna and red onion and I had the Infamous Vegan Bowl. It was freshly prepared so took a little while to arrive but it was well worth the wait. There was so much in the bowl and I can't begin to list it all. I added chicken but it really wasn't needed. There was so much that I had to take some of it home in a takeaway box. Compliments to the chef! The jacket potato was also declared delicious. I would heartily recommend. The waitress was very obliging and saved us two of their homemade sausage rolls to take away and these are also very good."
