"Food was nice, not the best I have had, but nice. Had to wait a long time, too long. It was cold in the room waiting, its a long time to wait if you are cold."
"We put a telephone order in at this Chinese takeaway for in the region of 15 dishes some of which were vegetarian. The bill was over £90. When the order was delivered one box was found to be missing as were two of the three bags of prawn crackers that we ordered and paid for. The worst part was that apart from the rice, none of the plastic boxes were marked to say what they contained. It would be so simple to label each box with their order number i.e. 67 contained sweet and sour king prawn which corresponds to the menu. We were left having to open all of the boxes and trying to guess what each one contained. It’s not a problem when you order a couple of dishes but for a large gathering of over a dozen people two of whom are vegetarian then it is a big problem As for the missing dishes, they arrived about 15 minutes after we called back to tell them. That’s ok because we are about a five minute drive away, but only one of the missing bags of prawn crackers arrived, so we are still one short. Having said that the food when we had sorted it was good, but the whole experience was stressing which we just didn’t need. Another issue was that they didn’t take card payment for telephone orders which in this day and age is unbelievable. It left us having to scramble to the nearest cash machine. I have to say it will be a long time until we may decide to use Hin’s again."
"Usually great but this time left without a tea. 5mins away - chicken wings cold inside. Chicken in sauce luke warm (very little sauce). I offer to collect replacements. Hins solution: happy to do "free" starter nothing else. They were "low on lemon chicken". More interested in more money rather than customer service and safe food. After years of using them I currently don't want to return."

"I have been a customer for the last 7 years and order around every 6 weeks or so and the food has been excellent throughout this time. Last Friday I called to order a delivery and for the first time in years they asked for my address, which usually appears on their phone system but because it wasn’t the voice of the lady that usually answers I thought that was the reason. On completing my order, which I calculated as £21.60 the total was £26.60, apparently their prices have gone up. When the food arrived it was dry & over cooked possible even cooked the night before and 90% went into the trash. I phoned and I was told they had had several calls that evening as they had problems in the kitchen. I was very unhappy but thought well OK just one of those things. On the weekend I spoke to a friend and mention my upset with Hins and he had exactly the same scenario the week before, almost word for word from the above. I can only assume Hins has changed hands. It’s possible they have teething problems, but as I a told them on the phone it will be a very, very long time before I order from the again."
