"This was the first time we visited The Red Lion in Leek. But would highly recommend it to any one to visit. It dog friendly, as we had our dog with us he enjoyed all the a attention he received. As we had booked a large party gathering we where given a room upstairs which was private for us. We had a meal there that we pre-order, me and my partner had the scampi, Chips and mushy peas, the meal was satisfactory but we did not enjoy the mushy peas as they didn't have any flavour to them they needed a little salt or sugar. Thank you for the welcome"
"If I could have given 0 stars I would have. Bought 4 drinks and none of us could finish them as in the photo. The pump said Amber ale and we got golden dishwater. What a rubbish pub. No food available either."
"Very pleasant atmosphere. Wood fire, which is a rarity but added ambience. The food was delicious. I had sausages and mash with a starter of soup. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his smothered chicken chips and peas. My daughter had a buttermilk chicken with chips. All three dishes were very filling and well worth the money. The only gripe was that they were short staffed that day. But that wasn't the staff that were running round fault. Staff are pleasant and helpful No complaints about the food at all."
"Fantastic evening on Wednesday Fabulous food really tasty lots of clean plates. Made to feel incredibly welcome. Nothing too much trouble Staff were wonderful Really enjoyed ourselves. All 10 of us. Thank you so much you made our evening one to remember ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
"Late Sunday lunch Both had roast beef, this came with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes parsnips, cabbage, carrot and swede with lots of lovely onion gravy. We had horseradish served in a small pot. Plenty of meat, but it was a little tough. The roasts were a bit pale but tasted OK. Big bonus for lots of gravy, usually it's about a much as a thimble holds so that was nice. The staff are really friendly and very attentive, the beer was OK, just standard nothing more. £10 for a large Sunday roast, fair enough. The quality could be a little better but I was happy enough for what I paid. Not desperate to go back, but if I was in Leek again and looking for a late Sunday roast I'd give it a look."
