"Food deserves the 4 stars. The flat iron steak is beautiful, no need to spend more on a different cut of meat as the Flat Iron is very good (only if cooked medium or under). Sides were good, we got 4 between 2 and it was plenty of food. The wine list is quite limited and the music is very loud! However the food and service made up for it. I was expecting the restaurant to be bigger but its really quite small so book ahead."
"Having reserved a table, we arrived about 30 minutes early. A fresh table was given to us immediately. One tomahawk steak, a t-bone steak and lots of sides with sauces arrived. All 3 of us enjoyed our meals that had been cooked to our requirements. Recommended by all."
"You need to book if you want a table. It's very noisy (so don't come here for a quiet date). Many of the customers look like guys whom you wouldn't want to have an argument with. The menu is basically steak (or burger) with chips, though they also offer a seitan vegan steak or burger patty (see my photo). The food is simple and tasty."
"An underwhelming experience. Went for dinner midweek. It’s a very small restaurant and the interior felt very cold and lifeless. The menu has been printed and laminated to an unnecessarily massive size compared to the table and felt very unsophisticated. The glass for the Prosecco was very dirty and had to ask for a new one. The waiter came with a very large tray that almost hit me in the head and he seemed very unaware of how close it was to me. The seitan was nice but felt compared to a steak, it was a very poor portion size. Presentation was a bit meh. The sauces were nice though the two peppercorn sauces we got weren’t evenly filled and I think the pots would be better having an actual spout. I found the flat plates with the sauces a bit unnerving too. The mash was fine but the market veg much too undercooked for my liking. The chocolate cake was fine but some parts were slightly warm and others cold and the ice cream did not have real vanilla in it either. The meal was very expensive, coming to £71 which I do not think it was worth it and unfortunately, I don’t recommend."
"Went with a friend on a Saturday lunchtime. Both of us had the Top Blade flat iron steak and three sides each including Onion Rings and Sweet Potato Fries. The steak was presented well and deliciously cooked. With two beers, the bill for both of us came to just over fifty pounds so cannot fault the value. Service was quick as well. I'd revisit."
