"I ordered a large sélection of items, some of which were because my father was coming to visit me and loves some specific French products that he does not have access to where he lives. I placed the order one week before his arrival and chose the items that did not require to be on a waiting list or anything like that ( as displayed on the website). Delivery for everything stated 2-3 days delivery but after over one week, nothing had arrived. I even wrote to customer service and got an answer a few days later informing me that some items were out of stock but they’ll send me half of the order the following week. Part of the order was received but not the items I had ordered for my father; received substitutes I did not want. ( I even explicitly stated in the comments. If you want to substitute, please let me know beforehand ) a week later, they sent a quick email saying that the items are not in stock and so they will give me a voucher ( with no other option for me)… I’m very disappointed with the whole experience and I’m now trying Épicerie corner, who already gave me a date for delivery and more customer service interaction / communication than Mon Panier Latin did! I have to say… it is a shame as when Mon Panier Matin was first launched… communication was on point. They used to call after the order to inform of potential delays and ask what we wanted ( send half now and other half later.. wait it out etc) overall they need to sort out their logistics and communication…"
"I can only recommend Mon Panier Latin to anyone looking for proper French products and warm customer experience. Back in the old days, I went to work in France for a number of years and was a big fan of one brand of cheese there. When I looked for it on the net, bumped on Mon panier, ordered and received it fairly quickly. Then carried on ordering. What I actually like with them is the human side of it. Dealing with them reminds me the out of town shops where people take the time to speak to you. Even with thousands of customers, every time spoke to one of them, it was like talking to a mate, they cared about me took the time to speak. From what I understand it’s a small team but always there when needed. Don’t get me wrong it did happen during the busy period where they were slow to respond but they always did come back to me–no robots or call centre and this is what I mostly appreciate. That’s why if I ever have to wait even for months for a product (which never happened), I would without a blink of an eye. I know it’s because the team is working hard to get exactly what I ordered and I know this for a fact. So, if you are looking for a shop where you are just a number, don’t go there, they provide family like experience, the French way. Sorry just realise I’m being a bit long here. Anyway, we get the idea."
"Awful. Specifically requested my item not be substitutied and yet, it was. My authorisation was not given but the money was taken and an alternative product sent. I returned the item and they refused to refund me the £9 postage despite it being entirely their error. So they "can't" refund me the return postage but hey at least they are "sorry for all the disagreements"."
"I was the first time used Mon Panier Latin for ordering one of my favorite cheese, raclete cheese. I ordered 2 packs of entremont raclette cheese for a raclette party to be held at the weekend. One detail I appreciated a lot with them is communication. For a while, the product was not available and received an email informing that it was out of stock. the order arrived last week and enjoy fully a nice raclette last weekend. I am very satisfied with their job and will certainly add them to my supplier's list."
"Firstly we were pleased to find a site with some of our favourite products however we had ordered some fresh and frozen products they were sent on the 25th and arrived on the 31st October, no need to say the fresh products were at room temperature and the frozen products were completely defrosted. The packaging had no mention of fresh or frozen foods so the carrier would be unaware. We were given a refund for the products that we disposed of but not prepared to take the risk of ordering again."
