"I had very good treatment here after a buggy accident. The nurse Celia Hicks was very caring and professional. She went above and beyond for my family . I was very grateful for her kindness. Also a lady called Kay was lovely too. Thank you both x"
"I had an accident on the Scillonian on the way out, cut half top of my little finger off. Firstly, the crew were brilliant, then I was met by ambulance and paramedics on the dock assessed and taken to the hospital. Thank you to all the staff, you were wonderful, sewed me back together (I was worried about being flown back to Treliske) the doctor (Sherwood, sorry only got your first name) was able to do it there for which I was very grateful. Two follow up visits during the week. One month on (happened Sept 25th 2020) all healed up. Thank you to the nurses too, absolutely fabulous treatment."
"Minor injuries department - Brilliant. No waiting no fuss.Experienced competent nurses. Having attended on 2 consecutive days both injuries treated with skill and compassion.Hopefully you can enjoy an accident free time on Scilly but if you need them they knock spots off mainland A&E"
"Back in July my wife Lyn took a nasty fall whilst walking on the coast path. Rachael in the minor injuries unit was superb and spent over an hour cleaning the bad wound and reducing the risk of infection. The following two days the staff nurse complimented this and paved the way for our nurses back home. It took 6 weeks for the healing process to complete and thanks goes to all the staff and nurses in St. Marys who were superb, especially Rachael. On day we had to wait 15 minutes and they apologised. We dream about 15 minute wait times on the main land."
"We were on half way through a 2 week holiday when my husband fell down a deep hole on peninnis head on the Sunday. The paramedics Anna and John were fantastic in rescuing him and thought his ankle was badly sprained and took us back to where we were staying. The following day we phoned the hospital and asked for some crutches. His ankle was reassessed and put into a cast by the lovely Yvonne and Duncan until the Thursday when he was to go back for an x-ray. We went back and Rachael took his cast off and he was x-rayed. Luckily nothing broken. Rachael and Yvonne plastered him back up as more comfortable. On the Friday the x-rays which had been sent to the mainland to be checked again came back as not broken. Jemma removed the cast. Our visits to the hospital were quick and efficient and such lovely staff. Thank you all very much. He is improving and hobbling without his crutches now."
