"Visiting the morning after St.Patricks day, 10/10.30am and it was relatively quiet upon arrival, was seen to quite quickly. 7.5 hour visit while to get bloods done, some consultation with doctors, meds+fluids administered through IV, and dinner to make sure I could eat again before leaving. The only issues I had were a line in my arm seemingly messing up as injections didn't go into my arm properly, and a doctor seemed shocked that I wasn't given painkillers before I got to him. All the staff were brilliant with me and checked in on me regularly, asking how I was doing and seeming like they genuinely cared. The ENT doctor and the nurses/doctors in the short stay area were particularly good."
"I rate them 0 from 100 after 8.5 hours they said you have to wait more because estimated became to 11 hours also we don't know what is going to happen after that it might be 14 hours that is absolutely ridiculous we are at emergency department that mean we have an emergency stuation here and you have to wait 11 hours to be seen I feel there torturing us I would rather dying at home I not going to them any more. 30/01/2023"
"Awful - went with signs of sepsis with a seizure the previous night, waited for 9 hours before I had to go home"
"Horrific experience at the RVH a+e department on Friday 2/9/22. Passing blood doubled in two with pain. 3 hours passes still no one has come near me, I happen to go round to see if I can get some sort of help as I happen to pass more blood in waiting room men’s room. I’m told by the Nurse in charge We can’t help you, just go and wait your turn in waiting area. A Doctor sees me and asks am I ok to which I obviously said No I’m in agony. He brought me to a room to take bloods and I also had to give a urine sample. The sample showed that it was pure red and in the doctors words “4+ of blood in my urine and where my pain is he suspects Kidney Stones “. I thought I would be under this doctors care as he’s initially assessed me but NO ... I’m told to go and wait in the waiting Area. In total I waited 9 hours 40 minutes in absolute agony and NO ONE came to help me and I had enough and came home. It’s now Tuesday 6th September and I’m still passing blood and getting severe pain off and on. But to go back to the RVH where the Nurse in charge was extremely rude and unprofessional, I’d rather not."
"I'd been waiting for more than 10 hours to get my broken nose treated. Without any food, without sleep, I was asked to just wait. Nobody cared when I mentioned that I was losing my consciousness. Very disgusting administration and it seems like they don't have value of the life of a patient. Better to die at home rather than going there."
