The Telford Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort

"Great golf course, lovely layout. Drained pretty well for time of year. Only criticism was the paths were very muddy which could be improved and better signage for the tee boxes. But overall very good at an exceptionally good price. Will definitely play again in spring. Well worth a visit"

"Telford Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort is a fabulous hotel. The rooms are clean, tidy and well equipped. The spa is lovely and I highly recommend a back massage! The golf course is incredibly well kept and the surroundings are beautiful. The food is excellent on both the restaurant and the bar and on a nice day it’s great to sit outside the bar and enjoy a drink looking out over the course. It’s a little gem this place is. I would highly recommend a visit"

"The staff were excellent !! Our dinner, for 8 people, was served promptly and the staff were helpful and efficient. The breakfast team were amazing, so willing and informative they couldn't do enough for us. One lady in particular told us about the local area which was a great help. As for our room, we couldn't fault it, everything we expected was there such as a floor length mirror with a plug nearby, a roomy wardrobe, a desk & chair, plus a comfy chair and coffee table, altogether a great 2 night stay ! The golfers were happy as were we ladies, definitely a place to revisit."

"Lovely hotel, we were offered cream tea when we arrived. Receptionist was happy and helpful. Our room was lovely and clear. Beauty treatments were amazing, gorgeous products and lovely therapists. The swimming pool was so quiet and calm. Dinner was lovely. And breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. We hope to come back."

"The Hotel was lovely, it was a pain having to leave card detail at reception only after we checked in(They should have taken it while checking in), seems you cant order room service without it and rooms are miles away from reception. The bar and views from outside were stunning. The breakfast was fabulous. We also did a spa over the weekend. This was poorly marked out and difficult to find from inside the hotel, but once there the staff were lovely. All around we enjoyed the hotel, the reception desk service does need some working on as we found this frustrating, otherwise bar staff were great and chefs were good too. Next time we will try the golf as the course looked great. We had a coffee at the golf restaurant and had to wait over 20 min at the bar, however once we were served the hostess gave us the coffees for free to thank us for our patience so well handled there. We did not know much about the iron gorge as we were there for hockey, but it was a stunning area to go for walks and stop at some stunning pubs and restaurants"
