"Me and my partner booked Richmond B&B as we had tickets to a gig at Rock City. Graham is very welcoming and we had a wonderful stay. We started in the Derbyshire suite and yes it's small but is a B&B and to us we couldn't fault it. Bed was extremely comfortable and for me a big bonus, so we're the pillows. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and a fan both a nice touch. Fish tank in the bathroom was a nice surprise. The only issue with the room and this is not stunning Graham could help, at 6'4 my partner was a bit too tall for the cabin shower but it have me a good giggle, toiletries provide and body lotion also in the bathroom. Communal lounge and garden we didn't use but nice enough. Breakfast was very nice and Graham made sure everyone was enjoying it and had plenty. It's a shame Graham in leaving the world of B&Bs shortly as his place is a hidden gem a stone's their away from Nottingham and he is the reason it's a gem!"
"Owner was friendly, gave us a parking permit and cooked us a fantastic breakfast. His hospitality was as good as it gets but the room was a let down and not worth £85. Cramped with very little space for even a couple of bags, screws holding the curtain tie backs in place, shower was broken, wallpaper peeling off in the bathroom, just looked rough. Towel radiator didn't work so nowhere to dry or even hang our towels. Could be fantastic with very little work. I wouldn't say don't stay but it's definitely decieving from the pictures."
"Can only write for 3 star. I have worked in a hotel and understand the difficulties that happen. Rooms getting trashed etc. Unfortunately the owner had difficulties with the pluming on the day and had to call me to accept a cancellation on Saturday. He sounded very embarrassed so accepted the refund without anything more. I have no question this was a one off as have friends who have stayed here before without any issue. Please support these businesses who run on a shoe string budget had it been Premier Inn I would have demanded a room for the night. I was offered a free room for the night if in Nottingham again by way of compensation. Please support these businesses."
"Perfect for our stay to see the cricket. Room had everything we needed for a short stay. Toiletries, coffee/tea making facilities, nice thick fluffy towels. The shower room toilet was fine for us but some may find it a bit small for a longer stay. Bed was comfortable and our room was quiet. The plumbing does have a macerator which is a bit noisy, but it didn't bother us. Good information in the room and Graham, the owner was very pleasant and helpful. Excellent breakfast, well cooked and presented with quality produce. Lounge room and outdoor area to sit in if you want. Parking is on street with a permit provided by the owner. It is one permit per room but owner put himself out to help us as we had 2 cars, which was appreciated. Good location, bus route nearby to city centre along with a convenience store. Fifteen minute walk to city and pleasant canalside walk to Trent Bridge which took 50 minutes"
