"I recently had cause to contact Plymouth Community Dental Services, I had a broken a molar tooth and I was unable to arrange treatment at any of the two practices I had used in the past without a long delay, and I was experiencing severe pain, I was advised by a family member to try Plymouth Community Dental Services. I made an initial phone call at 09:38, I was asked details concerning my problem and I was advised that someone would call me back. I received that call 40 minutes later, the caller ask for a more detailed explanation regarding my problem and within a short time advised me that I would receive a call to arrange an appointment to be treated. I received that appointment call within 50 minutes for 13:25 that afternoon. From my first contact call to receiving the treatment it was less than 4 hours. From start to finish I was dealt with in courteous, professional and friendly manner. My experience at the clinic from reception to treatment was again courteous, professional and friendly. The tooth extraction was carried out by two charming young ladies. The dentist, Rebecca extracted the tooth swiftly and painlessly with the able assistance of her nurse Jayne (hope that is right spelling) both ladies put me at ease with their friendly humours banter, my thanks to you both. Before I went to the clinic, I had looked at the reviews left by previous patients and to say the least I was surprised at some of the negative comments posted. If my experiences on that day were anything to go by we should all be grateful for, and be proud of our world beating NHS service. I extend my gratitude to all the people I spoke to or encountered on that day."
"Was seen on day I phoned up which was amazing, my normal dentist Jan is no longer full time was a bit apprehensive off because she is fantastic. Seen a new dentist called Emma she was so cherpy and polite and very caring to my needs, what a fantastic dental surgery"
"I had car crash and smashed all my upper teeth when the steering wheel went into my mouth. They are awesome, took smashed teeth out and made new teeth, feb I get my new teeth. Can't wait for them to be done as is painful eating anything hard or sharp like salad etc. Reception Staff are brilliant, I missed a few appointments as I was sectioned but that did not faze them, they just rebooked. Not a problem at all. They always treat me with respect and vice-versa. If it was not for this place, I would have had to go private & that is not a viable option I could take. So, a big thankyou for restoring my faith in Dentistry. Big smiles :-) Sincerely Lord Psycho aka Pierre Dignand"
"most unhelpful just wanted to get temporary fillings while waiting to find a dentist ended up getting pushed into starting first stage of root canal treatment on a tooth that didn't need it ! yes i need root canal but on a different tooth which i told her ! it wasnt till after i realised what she had done incompetent isn't the word ! shut this clinic down or find better people to run it !"
"myself reading the two previous reviews was making me feel more anxious than usual about dentist. but had to go cause I was in pain , like most WORKING people I would have struggled to meet the £ 80 cost of private care. Have to totally disagree with previous reviews, receptionist was great. And I had a Italian lady dentist who was brill, and her nurse was lovely to. no negative things to say ."
