Reviews of Travelodge Birmingham Hilton Park M6 Southbound
"Not the nicest Travelodge we've ever stayed at but perfectly suitable for a one night stopover to break up a long journey. The services themselves are a little tired and dated and the Travelodge itself could do with a bit of a scrub in the corridors, especially the carpet that looks like it's not been vacuumed in years though I'm sure it has (it's by the doors of the rooms that it looks really dusty). Rooms are acceptable, ours looked like it had recently had a lick of paint and was clean and tidy. The shower was excellent - plenty of heat and really powerful. The staff were encountered were pleasant and helpful. I guess the moral of the story here is you get what you pay for - this was half the price for a Saturday night of many of the other Travelodge hotels in Birmingham and suited our purpose very well"
"Staff were super friendly and helpful. Car park right next to the hotel was quite small so if you have alot if stuff and are late checking in expect a few trips. Otherwise no complaints. Excellent service from staff. Little things stop me from scoring 5 like the bath showed signs of wear and tear but woulndt put me off booking again. Thank you x"
"We booked three rooms last minute. We chose travel lodge as they provided travel cots. But in this one they couldn't find the sheets and blankets to go with the cot so it was useless and the toddler slept with parents ( not comfortable) in one of the rooms the sink got blocked and the ventilator wasn't working. Other than that good value for price paid at last minute"
"A good stop off location if you just want a bed for the night. The room was fairly cold, I guess not a bad thing for some, some of the lights didn't work and as with all TLs you couldn't adjust the heater settings. The lady on reception was very helpful, giving us directions to get back on the northbound carriageway in the morning."
"Cheap and cheerful. For the low price, we weren't expecting luxury, just cleanliness, comfort & convenience. Which we definitely got! As with other Travel Lodges we've stayed at, the carpet in reception & stairs were extremely worn & faded. However, a very pleasant surprise was waiting for us in our room. It was fully refurbished. New plush carpets, new everything, tub with plenty of safety rails to hold onto - and it was all very clean! The staff were friendly & helpful. There's no lift, but staff are very happy to take your bags up if needed ."
