"I've never been to Butlins before, and although a have a few reservations about the resort, I can not find many faults with the pool itself. The water is warm, the rapids are rapid, there's a wave machine in one pool, a swimming area and a great young children area. I'm not a shoot man, but they are manned and have a traffic light system to make sure they are safe and there is a lots of attendants make sure everyone plays safe and no-one gets into trouble. The swim sessions are very long, by the time your session is up, you are more than happy that you've had plenty of fun. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed our time in the pool and it is a strong argument for us to have another holiday at Butlins resort Minehead. However... All is not perfect, the changing rooms leave a lot to be desired. This pool is in a family resort and the changing room cubicles and the lockers are very small, I struggled to change myself, let alone changing two young children at the same time, it was very stressful. Also, there is no way a family will get all their things in a locker unless you are lucky enough to get one of the few tall lockers. It's a shame that you end up finishing a lovely family swim with so much stress."

"Good pool, lots of areas to go to, but was very busy. Good for kids with the shallow pools and slides. The changing rooms were ok but not as clean as they could have been."

"Very clean. Lots of changing rooms and good size lockers. Enjoyed the lazy River and wave machine. Amazing rides. Didn't know you could have photos taken in the pool, would of liked a family photo taken."

"Large pool complete with two main areas, a wave machine, a hot tub, 4 rides, a kids area, and the biggest hit of all was the lazy river. There is also an outdoor pool if you can brave the cold water. The pool was lovely, but can be incredibly busy and crowded, especially in the lazy river and when the waves are on. Very long wait for the rides, and I've only been on the master blaster but ended up getting stuck and having to climb up half of the slide, but family have been on it multiple times and all love it. Changing rooms are decent, but a bit on the small side, and there are lockers and hairdryers available. Lockers need £1 but are refundable. Hairdryers are 20p. Reception were helpful and you can purchase items like goggles, swimming costumes, floats, pool noodles, life jackets and toys, all for a reasonable price. Above all, the experience was amazing and we went swimming every day of our visit. It is one of the highlights of Butlins."

"Really good pool, lots to do for all the family. We enjoyed all the slides, the outdoor splash pool, the lazy river and the wave machine. The pool was a bit overcrowded and I felt for the lifeguards who looked like they were having a hard time - especially as some parents didn't seem to be mindful of their children - had to see the life guards jump in twice in such a situation. I just felt that the pool opening times were not as long as I would have liked for a holiday resort. 10-5. I'd have rather it open at 9 and gone till 7:00. I think this would have given some opportunities for quieter sessions."
