Holiday Inn Rochester - Chatham, an IHG Hotel

"Hotel was very clean in public areas. Food was good, but it should be at £17 for breakfast whether you just had toast or full English. My room was freezing cold as was bathroom. Asked 3 times for someone to sort it out but it wasn't. Luckily there were 2 beds in room and I only needed one. Slept in pj's, leggings and dressing gown with 2 duvets. I asked staff 3 times to fix but they didn't have anyone to do it. Lack of sleep and warmth kept me awake all night. We had travelled 300 miles for a family party. Hot water for shower was hard to regulate. The options were freeze or fry. Much better service in premier"

"very fresh, well presented hotel, with a really lovely reception team. Food was great, (especially as paid for by my company) and the team really wanted to make me as comfortable as possible during my stay. Doesn't look like much from outside, but lovely inside."

"I was only there for a meeting for a couple of hours, but the staff at reception were exceptionally professional and friendly. Any question asked were answered immediately, refreshments offered on arrival, and was escorted to the meeting room. The two ladies on the front desk were well turned out, which is was nice to see considering in other Holiday Inns I’ve experienced, this seems to be missed at times. The location was a little weird, but seeing a selection of small planes behind it and an airfield, I’m assuming this is the reason for its bizarre location."

"Second time staying here, rooms are ok but it is a noisy place, radiators tapping all night, my partner mentioned a dripping sound that he'd heard throughout the night and the lady on check out completely ignored him, no attempt to even acknowledge or question his comment, rude. Check in has been incredibly slow on both occasions, feels like a place where the staff would rather be elsewhere as not a smile to be seen. The only dollop of happiness was a night reception gentlemen the first time we stayed, he cheerily opened the doors for us after hours but wasn't around this time...shame."

"I was genuinely impressed with this holiday Inn. The room was spacious and nice and clean as is expected really. The bar and restaurant though was really nice, reasonable price for a drink and a meal and it was really tasty. You can select any allergies to show you what is available. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the spa and pool looked really good but we didn't get chance to try it as we were restricted on time due to a family wedding."
