"Much easier to park compared to other practice on Leicester road. Felt that day stay to extract urine from a cat is unnecessary when antibiotics would have sufficed. If further symptoms after treatment then sure further investigation is required. Friendly staff but as like everywhere it’s too expensive for treatments these days"
"Took my Rabbit in after dropping weight (3.4kg down to 1.7kg) excessive bleeding from the mouth, hadn’t eaten or drank for over a week. Had tried to get an appointment pre Christmas but unfortunately the booking system has now changed and I was unable to get in every day that I phoned, even though these are critical/life threatening symptoms for a rabbit. Was told that he would not get better without surgery to his teeth, but also categorically told due to his weight and age there was no way he would survive the Anaesthetic needed to perform this. Instead I was given some painkillers and told to come back in a week. Even though I was fully aware of the decision I would have to make a week later, the vet did not give the option to PTS there and then and encouraged me to buy the medication and how we got on. Unfortunately my rabbit suffered a very painful and long death a few days later, gasping for air and fitting. I emailed in to complain and advise my concerns, and received a response stating my rabbits welfare was the main concern. I do not feel like my pets welfare was the practices concern, I believe they were looking for a way to make extra money, by providing medication (£100 bill) and hoping I would then have to return to pay another consultation fee and the fee of the inevitable; putting my rabbit to sleep. I emailed back expressing my concerns further and have heard nothing back. I cannot fault the reception nurses when I visited they were extremely helpful but I am completely disheartened by the distinct lack of care and concern for the animals welfare on the Vets part. I would really not recommend this practice and stay away at all costs if you can."
"Attended Medivet today for our dog Wilf to have his yearly booster. Thankyou to the vet as she was brilliant at calming and comforting out Wilf before he had his booster. Thankyou."
"Friendly Staff , always try there very best to book you in . Large practice & under pressure to cover the large demands of so many animals in our area . Medivet as a national company now allows you're notes to follow on to any practice , so that's good . Only down fall is as usual the costs ."
"Terrible, scant examine of my cat, nothing wrong ! He had lost 2 kilos in weight n wasn't eating. Straight to bloods test. Cost me £235 for examine n tests, was told all OK, no advice. Took to another vet, tumours in his intestine urine infection in urine."
