"I'd rather give 0 stars but that's not an option. Used once won't be going back. Our dog wasn't even there for 48hrs yet we had to pay for 3 nights accommodation. On booking they took a deposit and we were told the only additional cost would then be the insurance. On picking him up they then charged an additional day as we didn't pick him up before 10am, which wasn't explained to us on booking. Anyway, as said he was only there 2 nights (46 hrs) so to charge us for 72 is ridiculous especially as we even took his own food, bedding and toys! The place is unkempt, reception dirty and the staff lack any customer service skills. Avoid at all costs."

"I would give 0 stars if possible. The kennels may be ok, however my cat was traumatised for a couple of weeks after returning from the cattery (she has stayed at other catteries before without any issues). When I asked if I could see the room she was staying in, I was told I couldn’t, it would only possible for about 1 hour per day (12pm I believe). This was a red flag to me, as the other catteries I have used would always let you go into the room when you drop off and collect. There were not many pictures on the website of where the cats would actually be staying either, so I do blame myself for choosing this cattery. It also seemed like the dogs were staying very close to the cats, as you could hear dogs barking very loudly and I presume this is what traumatised my cat. I have been waiting over 6 months to leave this review, as I don’t normally leave negative feedback and I wanted to be sure I still felt the same way."

"I recently boarded my one year old Chihuahua and I cannot express how impressed I was with the service! I spent weeks looking for the right place as I was extremely nervous leaving my Chi for the first time, the owners were lovely and kind enough to have him with the family doggo's so that he would feel most comfortable and I cannot be thankful enough, it meant I could relax while away and give my Chi the chance to build his confidence around other dogs - he had an amazing time, so much so, to my surprise he didn't want to come back home! He was well looked after and on picking him up, he looked like he had the time of his life there, a really Holiday even for him! I would highly recommend Normandale Kennels, very loving and caring owners and the staff are very friendly and helpful, I have finally found my Chi's second home. Thank you Normandale Kennels & Cattery for such a amazing experience for both us and my Chi."

"Lovely family run boarding kennels and Cattery, no hesitation in a 5 star recommendation. Owners and staff are very welcoming to you and more importantly to your Pets. Great facilities for a worry free time away from your pets. Only one negative, they don't provide boarding for humans, I would enjoy a week or two there myself!"
