"Absolutely shambolic experience today, as usual nobody on the tills except 1 new guy opens up a till only for the system to fail so over £100 worth of shopping has to be moved to another till half way through the move he realises he has no pin for this till so we have to move again. By this point I've has enough and refuse to move the shopping myself, the guy himself was.very apologetic. This shop is a joke"
"I have been shopping at Burnley Tesco since the day it opened - What was once a convenient well run store has turned into utter shambles. I understand the lack of stock & even the price rises in these difficult times BUT what I can’t understand is why Tesco have made things so difficult for their customers. 1. The trolleys being kept downstairs outside the store door which causes problems for people coming in & out of the store (always struggle to find the small trolleys) & the trolleys are always dirty. - It made so much more sense before to have them conveniently upstairs. 2. Customers can’t just quickly walk up the escalator when they’re in a rush anymore to grab something fast before work etc… because you’re stuck behind all the people with their trolleys…stupid! 3. The homeless sat right at the doors of Tesco makes things really awkward & uncomfortable for a lot of customers & a lot of the time they are not even homeless as has been mentioned previously. This isn’t about lack of empathy but there is a time and a place and this isn’t it :( 4. The self serve checkout is ALWAYS ridiculously busy so defeats the object of a quick way to shop. 6. Where has all the stuff gone upstairs to buy and why have you no longer got changing rooms? :( 5.The store doors…I noticed the last time I went this was back to normal so PLEASE keep it that way …but the silly closing of the bottom door, so parking the car and then having to make a ridiculously long walk to get to the other door then to the other side of the store before going upstairs is OTT! I noticed you close off the alcohol section of the store now which isn’t convenient anymore either so if this coincides with the reason you close off the door then it might be worth investing in another security guard rather than keep making people want to shop elsewhere. 5.The absolute WORST thing about Burnley Tesco is the lack of tills that are open - what was once a convenient well run store is - well…… just really really bad! The staff who are around don’t seem to care less if the 2 checkouts open are 10 trolleys deep in the queues. Some lovely staff still there but obviously it’s noticeable they aren’t happy in their role’s probably because they are understaffed & have given up but customers aren’t really a priority anymore - such a shame!"
"customers beware at the checkouts- recently realised my club card even though scanned & showed discount on till display - hadn't actually been deducted on my receipt- wonder how many times that happens?! Also noted that when I needed money refunding to my card after checkout mistake the staff member told me it was now refunded but my bank statement later showed it had been taken off again instead. Stealth robbery? I will try & avoid shopping there now"
"Two checkouts working. Queues of at least 10 people at each. A queue of 11 people to get into the self service checkout. Staff not interested. I am disabled and standing for any length of time causes me pain. I will not be using this place again."
"This was an epic Tesco to visit with its three floors, which can be travelled to and from via travelators that are really smooth with no steps! Signs are all around that make for ease of navigation and the entrance is very accessible, not far from the upstairs area where I went shopping with my friends. The food and drink is very well-organised, from which I bought a meal deal at a value Clubcard price of £3! It consisted of pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, an iced coffee drink and duo white chocolate twix bars, all of which were delicious."
