"A 100+ years old hotel with character. Great and friendly service. Great breakfast. But I guess the building is really old so when people on the floor above moving around, the ceiling lamp seems to shake a little. Great location as next to the high street and 3 minutes walk to the beach. But for this price, you can't get any better value."
"Weston Rebels walking football club held there Christmas do last night in the Royal. We had a wonderful evening everything went very well the food was excellent, the staff did a excellent job of getting it to the right tables and they were also very helpful and well organised. A great evening was had by all and we will definitely be going back again. 5 star. Thank you all involved"
"Stayed for a nights b&b. Very good value. Location e amazing with on site parking. Breakfast was excellent, didn't need to eat again till evening meal. The room was small but wasn't in there much. The free WiFi was poor, difficult to connect with low signal and very frequent dropouts. I would go again as the location and value is good"
"So we had a Sunday roast and oh my days it was excellent...a little bit of a wait but tbh I really didn't mind when it tasted so good. 3 meat roast recommended. A little expensive but worth every penny. The service was great, she even convinced us to have puds. We didn't stay in rooms so can't comment but the place looks very clean and tidy so I expect the same in their accommodation. Big up The Royal Hotel"
"Staff excellent as usual. Room 218 very nice. BUT. And there are serious buts. FOOD!!! Buffet breakfast was cold, as no lids on containers to keep it warm. Evening dining room always empty of diners. The pathetic menu reflects this. A serious managerial review on this needs addressing. Perhaps a visit to the nearby Hotel the YORK to study their menu's would be very beneficial to the Royal."
