Cabot Court Hotel - JD Wetherspoons

"No lift so I had to lug the push chair up 3 flights of stairs and menu did not fully inform what was included in the meal. Beware food alligies. Price is good for what you get. They don't allow dogs at all, even outside. I don't have a dog, but the lady that was outside waiting for her husband to get drinks had to leave her dog with me while she went in to find him. The dog was lovely, but I imagine it would put any dog owner in the same situation under a lot of stress."

"Everything was filthy, there wasn't a single table over 3 floors not covered in multiple visitors old plates and food spills. Everyone sitting down at a table just had to push them aside to make room for their own plates. We asked someone three times if someone could take the plates and wipe the table. The server who eventually brought our food took the old dishes but no one ever came to clean the gunk and spills off the table. There was an incredibly long wait for food and drinks despite being the middle of a week day. I think it was an hour+. Also, really weirdly, the entire restaurant was completely out of ketchup. If this is what the customer sees I cringe at the thought of what state the kitchens might be in."

"So cheap I can hardly believe the quality of the food and the drinks, I was driving so had a tea or as many as I could manage. My meal was ordered at a different time than my two companions but all three came out together. We all were very pleased with our food and even the wc was clean and tidy."

"We booked two nights at Cabot Court Hotel. We broke down on the M4 en-route and spoke to the hotel manager explaining our predicament and that we might not make it. He was caring; he said if we could let him know as soon as possible if we were likely to make it, he would hold room. The AA came promptly and got us moving again so we were able to make it. We were so grateful for the support from the manager at a stressful time. The room was nice, quiet and we really enjoyed our stay. Sadly the kitchens were being refurbished at this time, but we had been called in advance to advise us of this fact. This is probably our favourite Wetherspoons! Thank you so much for your support"
