"This place is AMAZING. The location is quiet, surrounded by fields and greenery and the decor inside is clean, bright and welcoming. My wife and I had a sudden getaway and were helped by Holly from reception on the phone to facilitate and early check-in. She could not do enough to help us, and was equally as polite, efficient and welcoming when we arrived. The room itself was huge, well equipped, beautifully decorated with a fantastic bathroom. The bar was large and well maintained, we ate there which was also spot on! Laura behind the bar was lovely, could not do enough to help us. We were blown away with such a lovely stay - thank you especially to Holly who is an absolute credit to the team. We will be back soon!"
"Stayed for an overnight package booking with use of spa facilities, a two-course dinner and breakfast. Was so lovely, loved the pool and all of the spa features and it’s really nice that you can order hot drinks whilst by the pool. Our room was lovely, only thing to note was the air con/heating was difficult to operate and didn’t really warm up. The dinner was amazing, breakfast was lovely and the man who seated us at breakfast is so lovely and so are all the staff we spoke to. Will definitely be returning :)"
"I would be surprised if this hotel gets any repeat business. The welcome letter asks if there is anything that would make the stay even better. Our suggestions would be: 1. Issue guests with industrial grade ear defenders, particularly the ones which are in junior suites above the terrace and function room. We had the experience of the wedding party disco until 12.30am on Friday and 1.15am on Saturday, even putting the volume on the TV up didn't drown out the music. When it eventually was turned off (it never was turned down), the white noise of the air con outside the window took over. 2. Replace the chef who thinks it's acceptable to serve stale bread and to leave the burger so long under the hot lamps that it cooked the coleslaw. Also train the waiters so that they know what tables to take food to instead of wandering around asking guests if they have ordered a particular meal. 3. Get someone to proof read the menu (it wont take long as it's not extensive) - it took some fathoming out that the Ultimate Melted Red Leicester actually referred to a burger, even with the description underneath. Also there was a price for the pork loin, but no prices on any of the other mains?? 4. Ensure you only take bookings for the number of rooms which you have available - we know at least two guests were sent to the Jury Inn down the road as the hotel was 'over subscribed'. 5. Do a stock check more frequently - we weren't able to get a Barcardi and was also told there was no diet coke. 6. Re-name the hotel 'Faulty Towers' as that is the name that we heard on more than one occasion from other unhappy guests."
"Our room was large and clean as was the bathroom. However, the bed was rather lumpy on one side and the control for the shower very difficult to turn. Also the water kept changing from hot to cold. The restaurant was clean, large and cool, which was much appreciated as the weather was very hot when we went!! Food was fine. We had a sandwich lunch on arrival and I was pleased to be able to have gluten free bread. Alcoholic drinks were available but they don't make cocktails. The grounds are pleasant with a seating area but no sun umbrellas, so we moved our chairs under some trees. Also there were cigarette ends around the patio and on the grass. The spa area was pleasant though small and the treatments were brilliant. We each had a very relaxing massage and I had a manicure. It's a very relaxing place to stay, but there is very little to do in the area. There is a large car park."
"Had my Hen Do here and couldn't complain about anything! Staff were brilliant when I was booking and whilst we were there, massage treatments were amazing and so relaxing. 2-course dinner in the restaurant was beautiful, portions a little small but nice, rich food. The spa was clean and spacious. The lockers were big, nice clean showers and lots of space to get ready after using the spa. They did a great job looking after me and my girls. Would 100% go again!"
