"We got married at the Woodlands and it was beautiful. Bethan and the team were so helpful and organised as we were useless! It's such an intimate setting that you feel like you're just at a party with your family and is suched a chilled atmosphere which is exactly what we wanted. Everyone commented that the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding, and the waiting staff/bar staff were very attentive making sure we have everything we needed. The accommodation was 10/10. Clean, the rooms were so amazing overlooking the fields etc. Unfortunately one of our guests lodges did not have toilet roll and we were told there would be a travel cot for our friend's baby but this wasn't supplied in the end. The breakfast the next day was average and didn't blow us away. The hideaway and tippee were amazing, beautiful settings for the ceremony and welcome drinks. We paid for gin and vodka drink stations. It was agreed that at least some of the drinks would be made up, to avoid people pouring themselves home measures and not everyone having a chance to have a drink from there. However we ended up just having bottles and glasses on the stations which obviously means that they didn't last long as all! It is worth saying that the bar was card only. My dad tried to put some cash behind the bar but was refused,as we were not told this prior. After putting some money on his card behind the bar, my dad went and ordered a drink and asked for the cheaper option of 2 brandys. However the bar staff replied don't worry mate it's free, not realising it was him who had put the money there! So again, not everyone had a chance to have a drink from the money put behind the bar as it looks like the staff were pouring the most expensive options! Overall there were some things which weren't perfect as mentioned. But the day was organised and beautiful. We would recommend as a venue, but get your wallet ready!"

The food was amazing, the staff we're super professional and personable and Aimee was a huge help in the lead up to the wedding and on the day. I can not speak highly enough of The Woodlands! "We got married in The Woodlands @ Hothorpe Hall in June 2022 and truly could not recommend the venue enough. We booked the venue way back in 2018 and since then the updates and renovations have taken the venue to a whole other level - it was beautiful before the work but it really is a show stopper. The addition of the tipi too is fantastic and really adds that bit of something extra special. The perfect venue for a relaxed family day. We had lots of children attending so knew it was important there was plenty of space for the kids to stretch there legs and Hothorpe served exactly what we was after. Not only does the venue look stunning but every single member of staff is incredible. Aimee was our wedding coordinator and couldn't have made the day run more smoothly - she made sure everything was looked after for us and was just fantastic. A special thanks also to Jessy and Nell who are brilliant at there jobs, incredibly kind and thoughtful and really made everyone feel happy and cared for. The accommodation is beautiful, incredibly comfortable, clean and we can't wait to book our next stay in the treehouse for our anniversary. Absolutely perfect for us and thank you again Hothorpe + The Woodlands."
"My son married here yesterday. Pretty much the perfect wedding venue. Spotlessly clean. Staff attentive, polite and friendly. Ideal venue if lots of children attending as they can play safely outside on the grass. Accommodation is amazing!"
