The Groom Room Loughton

"Took my dog in today for her regular groom, and I can't thank these girls enough. My dog is quite nervous, but the lovely staff always take the time to settle her in. She comes home looking and smelling beatiful, and the girls are great at advising me on how to keep my dogs coat healthy between grooms. Thank you, we wouldn't go anywhere else."

"I implore you to think twice before bringing your dog to this groom room. We’ve been using this groom since my cockapoo has been a pup and he used to love going for grooms and was a happy anxiety free dog going in. However after a few grooms they said they refused to cut his nails because he was biting and not letting anyone touch his paws. We were very confused because we never heard this before. They always had a complaint about his behaviour. One particular appointment we received a call after 15 mins saying that we had to collect him since he was being aggressive and snapping. This is not like my dog at all. It was so upsetting that I thought there was something wrong with my dog and had to take him to the vet. The vet clarified that he was okay and they weren’t sure why the groomers refused to groom him as he let the vet clip his nails. I’m certain they have hurt my dog because then he would refuse to go in after this incident when in the past he would stroll in and not look back. We took him to the groom room in Camden and didn’t mention what had happened at the Loughton branch and at the end of the groom the groomer told us how lovely our dog was and when we asked if he was aggressive at all they looked confused. We’ve tried a couple of other private groomers too and no one has had any problems with grooming him in fact praising him for how much he enjoyed being groomed. We will not be taking my dog back to the Loughton groomers ever again. I definitely think the groomers are untrained in handling dogs and certain they must have hurt him since he now refuses to even step foot in the PetAtHome there too."
