"We currently have a case open Our 875k (on live market now ) free hold property has no mortgage. We confirmed to borrow 410k And on the final day of completion 6th March 2023 they pulled out Which left us 10days to complete. There has been no counteroffer or any contact with a Reason why they have pulled out the last day ! Octopus knew about our case for months and had written to our broker confirming that the capital is in place and happy with the structure (2 times they changed the structure and we complied, With over extensive paper being ask from them Endless signatures We thought this would be over today Now been told they have pulled out which has left the family in shock Would we recommend your service ?"

"Worst lender to deal with. They spent months dilly-dallying and making me WASTE money only to pull out at the last minute. If your broker contemplates approaching these bunch of time-wasters, find a different broker immediately. They're only doing it to get maximum commission from Octopus."

"STAY AWAY!!!! This company used a surveyor who put in qoutes for the work that needed to be done to the property... he got all the information from the Internet.. we forwarded black and white quotes from a well respected builder to Octopus.. however Octopus still went with the qoute from the surveyor. I just can not work out for the life of me why they would go with the costing from a surveyor then a qoutr from a builder. We now had lost the deal and Money No urgency from these guys or from there solicitors. Octopus was well aware it was brought in auction and we had 20 days to complete. However they took 3 weeks to get a surveyor out to the property. I WARN YOU NOW!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!"

"This is one of the worst lending companies don’t trust these guys. We bought a property in auction and made a loss of 25,000 GBP. They accepted to lend us and then wasted time of 4 weeks and finally just before the completion day they returned to us saying deal doesn’t stack up. They used unprofessional and unskilled surveyors I.e., Taylor Wilkinson Surveyors who added more delay to this transaction and beware of these companies."
