Reviews
"A simple, pleasant hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and happy to help. Good breakfast options in the restaurant, including several hot and cold options and various drinks. Free parking available."
"Pleasant rooms which were modern and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Staff were excellent, polite, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. One piece of advice, if you need taxis, book before you arrive."
"The service is excellent. My friends and I (7 pax) had an amazing stay. All members of the staff that we came across were accomodating from the receptionist to the housekeeping. I forgot an important item at one of their rooms. I was initially planning to go there myself to retrieve it (I live 3 hours away) but they have been so helpful that they sent it back to me. They swiftly replied to my email and guided me throughout the process. In just a couple of days, I received the item. Kudos to them! Saved me time and effort. Thank you!"
"Came here for a "Christmas lunch" with colleagues from work. First of all, the staff were just amazing. Dealt with my inability to count and throughout the meal were helpful, quick and polite. Food, on the other hand, was a bit hit and miss. I started with a hot salmon tart. It wasn't particularly hot, but it did have salmon - so that's a good start. It came with the most tired looking salad I've seen for quite a while. Also, balsamic glaze on a salad just makes it look brown and past its best. Main course I went for the vegan "nut roast". When other plates for the carnivores were being placed I became quite excited. Full plates, brimming with meat and potatoes. I was a bit shocked, then, when my tiny slab of brown wallpaper paste, sat on half a dozen sad roast potatoes, appeared. I wasn't expecting much, nut roasts aren't my thing, but I didn't fancy the fish option. It was stodgy, claggy and just the right side of warm not to be sent back. As my colleagues tucked into platefuls of warm flesh I actually felt quite jealous. They did bring plates of vegetables - so at least there was something else on my plate. The veggies were tough, carrots barely cooked. Dessert didn't look much better, but I refrained. Needless to say, it didn't wow me with vegetarian delights, so probably not going back soon. The meal I had cost £23... Definitely not value for money."
"We only went to play golf through Groupon but it's a beautiful 9 hole course that you do twice for 18 holes. The staff are lovely and food was great, we are going again, already booked."
