"Just home from an outstanding 3 night stay at The Pig in Bath! We were celebrating a big birthday with family members and wanted a whole list of things. The staff were fantastic, our room lovely, the food including a cake, spot on and basically everything was perfect, which is hard to find these days in anything!! So a big thanks indeed to everyone at The Pig for making such a special occasion so memorable for all the right reasons. We hope to return soon and for longer! Big thanks to all. Really recommend a visit!"

"A surprising visit, excelling my expectations. A beautiful venue where we dined for a private party using "the billiard room". A good menu choice of fresh local, homegrown produce. Food was exquisite with good sized portions for adults and children. Staff did their job well, giving us the space appreciated for a private gathering but we just outside the door of we needed something. Toilets were at the other end of the building and are individual which is a nice touch but beware, you need to know sows from boars. Well worth every penny. Will be returning for a special treat."

"My partner and I went to the Pig near Bath yesterday evening for massages and dinner to celebrate our first anniversary. It is a special place for us as we had our first date in your bar and restaurant and we have been with friends for various lunches and dinners in the intervening time. I wanted to tell you what an absolutely perfect evening we had! Every single member of the staff, from James who greeted us and showed us the gardens and treatment huts, to the bar staff and restaurant waiting staff, to the phenomenal masseuses Laura and Emily, were xenial in the first class! The cocktails were superb, the massages were relaxing and thorough beyond any I’ve had elsewhere, and every mouthful of our meal was delicious, as always. But it is on the staff that I really want to give feedback. Unfailingly courteous, humbly good-humoured yet engaging, and attentive to every detail of the experience. My masseuse, Laura, really knew her stuff. Each member of the waiting staff knew the menu and was able to answer our questions and offer recommendations when asked. A really well-trained and welcoming team. And to top it off, our host James very kindly arranged for a complementary glass of bubbly and some ‘Piggy Fours’ for us on the house in light of our anniversary celebration. What a charming touch! My partner and I love the place and will be back every year to celebrate our anniversary, (and plenty of times in between, no doubt!). I can’t thank you all enough for our magical and flawless evening and for your unparalleled hospitality. Keep up that great work!"

"Been a few times, but the last visit I felt the quality has dropped for the price they charge, we went for lunch and it felt more like a cafeteria than a nice restaurant, the service was good but it was so noisy with screaming babies that it spoils the atmosphere of the place, not sure I would return for lunch. The food was good but one of the starters was just a load of pan fried onions not worth the price of £9, also the mains are not cheap, and then on top on that £5 for each side, I feel this is just over the top for what you they serve and charge. Hope it improves."

"All our expectations were exceeded during our two night stay at The Pig near Bath. Our room was wonderful; spacious, comfortable, homely with a roll-top bath, lovely toiletries and a well-stocked mini-bar. The communal social areas in the hotel, including the bar and restaurant, were both warm and welcoming; truly a home away from home. The food is of course excellent, but the thing that really stood out for us was the exceptional guest care we received from *all* staff during our visit. Nothing was too much trouble - the bar manager was fabulous, as were front of house and all restaurant staff. We really felt looked after from the moment we arrived to when we (sadly!) had to leave... I don't think I have stayed anywhere where the customer service was better, friendlier or more genuine. We will definitely be returning!!"
