"First time visiting Macellaio as they have the option for two halal steaks on their menu. Unfortunately one wasn't available so we could only have the T-bone which was superb. We opted for oysters and the burrata and pesto salad for starters which were nice. The T-bone was melt in the mouth delicious. We had these with the truffle fries which were just the right amount of crispness to softness. We followed this with the raspberry millofoglie - really nothing to write home about or worth getting again. We were looked after by Catherine who was very lovely and just showed the right amount of attentiveness - great service from the door on arrival to leaving. Would I go again is the key? Probably not until they have more halal options on the starters side. Worth a try though."
"If you love meat, be careful not to get too greedy, as prices are per 100g, so you can end up paying over £100 for one steak. It is a once in a year experience as final bill was too much. The starters were delicious so if you want to stick to starters only, you will be fine. Steak tartare was amazing, truffle chips as well. It is a great place, good service, food, atmosphere and all but I would still go to a really nice all you can eat style steakhouse and pay much less for good quality food. But if you want to indulge on a special occasion, this is the place!"
"Food is good. Steaks are very well cooked. The other Macellaio restaurants are nicer (feel more authentic). Prices for meat range from £10-£15/100grams. If you are a meat lover, the final bill can get fairly high!"
"One of the best steak I've ever had in London. No words in the world would make justice to the flavors that you get the honor to enjoy here. For sure it's a place not to be missed and should definitely be on your bucket list. The service was outstanding and I'd like to say a big "Thank you" to Maria, our waitress, she was always there wen needed and never intrusive. If you want one steak, only, in your life, this is the place to have it. Highly recommend!"
"Went there on the 19th of Feb with my girlfriend. We managed to get a table at short notice and boy was it the best choice we made. We were served by Angela, who was incredibly friendly and helpful and she made our stay very welcoming. The food was delicious and the wine to go with it was superb. Will definitely be back again when we're next in London"
