"This is a company where their head of legal counsel, Claire Morton, personally offered us a deal IN WRITING in October 2016, to settle a professional negligence claim against a firm of solicitors which we accepted, ALSO IN WRITING, in time. As their clients, the solicitors did not wish to settle, they wrote, in secret, to a Judge Baucher, we now know, with a back dated letter suggesting we had not sent in a page of a document even though it was hand delivered and photocopied in their own reception, under my own eyes by their own receptionist. XL was fully aware of this and participated in sworn statements suggesting the lawyers didn't even have a photocopier in the reception in order to deceive the judge. As a result of a series of lies, we have lost six figures containing with the case, believing both the law and the insurance industry to be reputable. XL has never discussed this with us or paid out and the matter is being investigated by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority."
