"One of the worst TooGoodToGo bags I’ve seen. Doesn’t add up to the stated amount, and could be bought cheaper in store (where you could actually choose the items for yourself). Avoid. Edit to take into account reply : I have no reason to contact TooGoodToGo. They don’t choose what goes in the bags, and I am not looking for a refund; simply warning people not to buy TooGoodToGo bags from this Co-op as they are poor / the items could be bought cheaper and separately instore. Why would anyone buy them in that instance? Who wants to pay more for no choice?"
"This store has provided a superb service all throughout lockdown and they have lots of initiatives engaging the local community (displaying art from local children and running charity raffles and food collection points). The staff are always pleasant and attentive. Thank you for being part of our community."
"I visited here on Friday 1st November 2019. I have been a member for some time and an occasional visitor here. I note the location was originally the old Fine Fare Ltd. So nice to see it is still being used for its original purpose. Notably are several d-rings in the wall at the base of the frontage for tying up pets on leads, very useful. The Co-Op is not the cheapest around certainly, even one of the most expensive places sometimes. Although prices don’t go up at the rate of some stores so parity. Much is their own produce and you know where it comes from, which is always a good sign. Being a member is useful as you are a part of the Business and you do get a share of the profits in vouchers to spend in the Co-Op, unless that year the board of directors decides not to pay out. The layout is easy to navigate. I do note compared to some places, anything on the shelves is much easier to reach top to bottom. No needing to climb up if it were possible or needing to crawl on hands and knees. I can recommend the ring donuts when available and the meals to put in the oven, also pizza’s and their desserts. Don’t be put off by the typically higher prices. The produce is of the highest quality and there is typically several offers on which means you can get many items at a cheap price. Service is efficient, polite and fuss-free. It is particularly convenient for having a PayPoint to pay bills. I should say was, as in recent months it always seems to be not working and so far, has never been fixed. Importantly is the local location in North Street and within easy reach by walking or bus. So being a Co-Op member and shopping here is highly recommended by me."
"Good place for a quick shop. Limited in stock due to size so not a lot of veg, meat or alcohol choice. Good offers. Friendly staff. Usually don’t have to wait long."
"Staff are all really nice, friendly and always keen to help. However the shop is absolutely freezing, I don't know how all are not ill all the time, let alone what it is doing for the environment. A simple solution would be to put doors on all of the fridges? Just found out the heating is also broken, management need to do something. - UPDATE*** heating has now been fixed."
