Ingatestone Station Taxis

"On Sunday the 19th June at 10.35 am I rang Ingatestone Station taxis and I booked a taxi to take me and my wife from The Harvard Inn Stock to Crondon Park for a wedding we were attending. The guy I spoke to was Andy I booked the taxi for a 1pm pickup. We were waiting in the car park of the Harvard Inn all suited and booted and no sign of the taxi. I rang and spoke to Andy. He had obviously forgotten our pickup he made a lame excuse saying the booking had gone from his phone. He eventually picked us up at 1.15pm. Now bearing in mind we were wearing nice clothes and going to a wedding the inside of the taxi was filthy boot marks on the seats and mud ingrained in the carpets. I booked a return from Crondon Park to The Harvard Inn for a 00.15 pickup for me my wife my daughter and granddaughter. Andy said he would be there to pick us up. I was horrified to find when we were waiting to be picked up Andy never turned up and he was not answering his phone. We were left stranded without a return to our hotel. Thankfully after a wait of 30 minutes Fareway taxis came to our rescue. I would honestly steer clear of Andy and Ingatestone station taxis in my honest opinion not worth the hassle and the false promises."

"Terrible service, Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Being a business owner myself I find it very uncomfortable to leave such negative reviews but for a company of this standard who left me and some friends stranded I felt I have no other choice. Tonight (22nd June) me and my friends booked a taxi from Highwood to Ingatestone at 12:00pm, at around 12:20pm I decided to ring 'Ingatestone Stations Cabs' to ask where they were. I was told they were only a few minutes away. I then rang back to ask why they still weren't with us at 12:40pm however their phone was no longer answering and we were left stranded. I am writing this after an over hour long walk home thanks to these cowboys. If there is any kind of taxi trading standards I would be willing to report this horrendous business. If you are considering booking a cab with this company, please bear in mind there is every chance they simply won't turn up."

The driver (forgot to ask his name) was brilliant - despite dropping us way out of the local area, he was very knowledgeable about the central London roads and shortcuts. Will only use this cab company - best in Ingatestone!"
