Reviews of Georgian Tearooms
"Hope this doesn’t get deleted. Me and my partner have been here once before and really enjoyed the experience but unfortunately on 14/02/23 when we went this time we were left sitting on the table for over 20minutes without any service. We were told that we would be served soon more than once but after patiently waiting we decided to leave. It was just over half capacity when we got there and so wasn’t really that busy. One of the waitress’s was available to take our order but seemed to be ignoring us. This is a shame as we know this place for its quality :("
"Was absolutely disgusted with the service the first thing we encountered was a rude young blonde lady that only walked up to us when we asked where to sit . She gave our menus and dropped one made no attempt to pick it up . She seemed not at all not at all interested. We asked for one cream tea and one scone on itself . They gave us our tea first and 5 mins later gave the scones. The scone was super hard and not all warm or tasty . At the end we were overcharged they charged us price of two cream teas wand when we challenged this they said they gave us one large pot of tea which we did not ask for . The owner came out and was super arrogant saying do we know what a cream tea and that apparently their cream tea is the best trying to justify the fact they overcharged us . I have been to many places that do cream teas Putney Bridge in Bristol os actually the best.we only tried this one as it was closer to where we were and it was cold. I’m Appalled at the service the way I was spoken the fact they overcharged us for something we did not have and had the nerve to charge is a service.the decor of the place was outdated. Very disappointed this place does not even deserve a star. I will never go back."
"Delicious, comforting food. Lovely hot tea and fab service from hard working staff who make you feel so welcome. The tea rooms are elegant and beautifully decorated for Christmas, a cosy, friendly atmosphere. Just what is needed on a blustery autumn day."
"I had classic high tea and overall was fine and the staffs were nice. The smoked salmon with cheese sandwiches were delicious. But chocolate cake was too sweet to me.Afternoon tea and house tea were also good."
"A charming traditional tea room. A good selection of herbal teas. We had the Citrus Rooibos tea which was refreshing. We ate here for lunch, service was good and food was excellent quality. I had scampi and chips, my husband enjoyed the steak pie and my son loved the burger and chips. The food is homecooked and tasted wonderful. So glad we popped in here during our time in Bath."
