Reviews of wilko
"Wilko this store has a wide range of products on sale and is close to cheap parking the stor is situated close to a wide variety of retail outlets and also close to public transport the staff are friendly and helpful and I managed to find what I needed quickly because the Isles were clearly marked"
"Good selection of products. Very helpful and friendly staff, happy to check stock for you and recommend dates to return if the item you want is not available."
"They have Always seem to have a problem with just not enough stock, and the self checkout tills are not suitable if your in a wheelchair or similar"
"Not so much the shop. I think its always well stocked, a bit pricy now, but good. My review is more towards the staff. Bit of info which relates to my story later on, I'm 22. In more shops these days there is a challenge 25. If you're unsure what this is, if the customer buys an age restricted product and looks under 25. Then they must show proof of age. (I know this because I'm an ex retail employee of 4 years). I brought some silverware today which contained a knife which is an age restricted product. The lady came over to me, looked at me up and down and asked how old I was. I told her I was 22. She then said, "Then yes I need to see ID." First issue I have; this is NOT how to go about challenge 25. You don't ask someone there age before asking for ID. I could of said 30 and there is a likely hood she wouldn't of ID me. What if I was 16? (You need to be 18 to buy a knife). She then has the CHEEK to say "I'm sorry, I thought you were older." Secondly, you don't say something like that! Its made me feel like utter rubbish! I'm already a self conscious person and its made me even more so! I'm not one to kick off, I've been in retail and belive me when I say I KNOW how hard it is! But Wilko, you seriously need to take a check on your staff etiquette! Your colleague was extremely rude to me and I do feel offended, and basically failed a Challege 25 as she didn't go about it correctly."
"WILKO'S was ok but i have not been there in a while and i felt the staff on the main floors stocking shelves etc were not the most helpful as i have experienced in the past times i visited. We asked for assistance to locate the product we wished to buy and i felt instead of taking the time out to assist they were more abrupt and not very personable. Didn't want to do more than they had too i get it sometimes we are to busy but ot would have been nicer to be forthcoming."
