"This place is great! The staff is very helpful are kind, they were always doing their best to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We got room number 1, a family room (it was me with my husband and 2 young children). The room was big, very clean and modern. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable, but everything else about the room was top notch!. The food was good, the main restaurant is stunning and the stable bar is very cozy. The location is good if you're not looking to stay in Glasgow city center, but close enough to amenities and attractions, like the ancient Roman ruins. The only thing you need to consider is that it doesn't have an elevator, so you need to take the stairs to go to your room (this is particulary important if you have a disability) . According to Google, this place is a 3 stars hotel but I think it's closer to 4 stars. I will def stay again and recommend to everyone who's looking for a nice and calm stay while visiting Glasgow"
"Recently, I had my wedding here on the 4th of March, 2023. Amazing place, staff and manager all fantastic. Rooms are beautiful and very clean, and food is outstanding!"
"The staff are excellent made us feel very welcome especially Claire, bar staff also couldn’t do enough and all very friendly and polite. Food amazing and the bar has great food and atmosphere. The rooms we have stayed in both times we have been are excellent. I would definitely recommend for a stay. All round great."
"Beautiful hotel. Very old fashioned surroundings and decor, which I love. Room had been very newly refurbished and was just perfect. Highly recommended. Staff very helpful too."
"Beautiful hotel. Very clean. Staff are super friendly. It's was a lovely day when we arrived. We sat in the garden with a glass of wine. So relaxing. The meal was gorgeous. Breakfast was so perfectly cooked and yummy. The only downside that for me the bed was hard which puts me in a great quandary because I sooooooo want to come back. If you like a hard bed then you will definitely not be disappointed. We chose the superior room. It was very spacious and had a bath. They said if I go back they will put an extra duvet on the mattress for comfort."
