"Very badly run this place. Never seen anything like it, they are slow, rude and you literally standing in a 2x1 square meter place with other 5-6 people , and no changing cabin! Should be shut down!!"
"I did get what I needed but the skirts they give for your age are way too big (I trusted them since I wasn't going to put the skirt on in there infront of people) and the blazar didn't have the school logo patch on which my school wouldn't have allowed. And the service is slow and the staff ignore you. I went there during the whole Covid situation so im not sure but there wasn't any changing rooms when I went so people would stand in a line behind you and just stare at you. It's not a comfortable situation, expecially if you're trying to put a jumper, blazer ect on."
"If the staff worked any slower they would no doubt have stopped altogether"
"Long review ahead - but necessary to stop people wasting their time, like I have my own! I have been to this shop several times for my daughters uniform after being advised by the London Road store that this was the only one that stocked it. The first time I visited, I went in and there wwere no other customers in the shop. I started asking the lady about the different items I required. She brought me the cardigans and I started trying them on my child. Meanwhiel another 2 families came in with multiple children. One of the guys went straight to the counter and ordered the woman to start fetching him blazers and skirts. After I had decided the right size for my child, I stood like a lemon for the next 10 minutes being completely ignored. I finally asked to the lady if I could pay and she came over and let me pay her. I exited as quickly as possible. I then attempted to do the rest of my purchasing online (this was Mid-August at this point) and was unable to order, and just kept being given an error. The 2nd visit was even less of a success to get the rest of my child's uniform as the shop was closed in the middle of the day on a Saturday. The 3rd visit to the shop made me increasingly mad, when I went in and there was only 1 other parent in there with multiple children trying different items of clothing on. There was a chld (no more than 10 years old if that) that asked me if she could help me. I began to ask for the items that I required, she went over to a woman sat behind the counter (who was sat there not looking like she was busy, but spoke no english). The girl translated the items I asked for, to which she came back and told me they had none ready. The guy in the shop that was serving the other woman quickly came over and asked what I had asked for. I told him the items that I required. He said that he didn't have any items with logos on for that age. My child was stood next to me in her school uniform items that I had managed to get (mainly thanks to Asda), and asked when I required the items for?! I pointed at my child and told him that she had started back in school. He said that I would have to come back after 4.30 on Saturday afternoon and he would print/embroider them while I waited. I told him how many times I had tried to order this uniform and the previous Saturday that I had come and the shop had been shut. He stated there had been a family emergency. I honestly can't express my fury at this shop. When I asked why I couldn't order online, he told me they switched it off as they had 'too many' orders!!!! I mean, what did he expect?! All the schools go back in September?! Laser have only this year started doing the uniform for my child's school, and to be honest, it has been a complete nightmare. I'm not sure how they expect to run this branch, but this is just ridiculous. I have now been told that all Laser branches now stock this uniform. I have tried calling London Road multiple times, but it seems no one ever picks up the phone! My pointers would be: 1. Go as soon as you can during the summer holidays to order, leaving it til anytime in August means you are not guaranteed of having your child a uniform. 2. Ring before you visit, I have read another review which says they were shut on a Tuesday afternoon! 3. If you can get the uniform from another branch, do. Laser on London Road looked much more organised when I visited and had multiple people ready and waiting at the counter. 4. Persevere...."
"Little or no stock of the uniform we wanted, didn’t know when things are coming in or if they are even in the shop. wasted time going to the shop twice! Closed on the 3rd occasion on a Tuesday afternoon. Wish we could buy somewhere else!!"
