About Kelvingrove Bandstand
Kelvingrove Bandstand, located in one of Glasgow's most picturesque public parks, is a historical institution that has entertained the city's residents for well over a century. Originally built in 1924 as a concert venue, the bandstand has undergone numerous renovations and restorations over the years to ensure its continued relevance as a popular attraction.
Nestled in the heart of Kelvingrove Park, the bandstand boasts a charming art-deco design that is both elegant and inviting. The elevated stage is flanked by benches and seating areas that offer a perfect view of the performers below. Guests of all ages can enjoy the show from these comfortable vantage points, or choose to spread out a blanket on the grassy area in front of the stage.
Throughout its long history, Kelvingrove Bandstand has played host to a variety of big-name musicians, entertainers, and festivals. From rock concerts and jazz performances, to comedy shows and film screenings, the bandstand has seen it all. In recent years, it has even taken on a new life as a popular music festival venue, attracting thousands of visitors every summer.
But beyond its role as a cultural hub, Kelvingrove Bandstand holds a special place in the hearts of Glasgow's citizens. For many, it represents a cherished gathering place where friends and family can come together to enjoy the music and scenery, basking in the warmth of a summer evening. Its timeless appeal is evident in the crowds that continue to flock to the park year after year, making it a true point of interest for both locals and visitors alike.

Reviews of Kelvingrove Bandstand
"Amazing evening at the Bandstand. What a fabulous experience. We saw Belinda Carlisle and were right at the front. The atmosphere was fantastic. So electric and comfortable, even when it started to rain. Downside is that drinks are on the expensive side, but the same at any concert venue. Would be happy to go here and see a brand or artist that I wasn't even a fan of just for the experience again. By far the best concert venue I've been too. Felt very intimate, rather than a big venue where you can't see the stage or watching the artist or band on a screen. Looking forward to seeing more acts here. Highly recommended!"
"It’s in such a good spot I wish they did more live events there, hopefully they will! Erm, but have more staff for the mobile bars, the queues were horrible"
"Great music venue with good sound and facilities a really fantastic pace to see live music. Will certainly be going there again"
"Went to see Suzanne Vega open this year's Summer Nights series, good concert with decent sound quality. Nice and atmospheric sitting outside and not crammed full. Great venue as long as you are lucky with the weather."
"Had a great night at Dr Hook on Friday. The event was well set up and very well organised. Shame about the rain but when you live in Scotland it's a risk you take going to an outdoor gig!"
