"Good haircut and friendly enough barber, but there is a sign on the window outside saying students pay £7 yet they charged me £9 even after showing my student ID. "My favourite barber in the East End. The quality of the cut varies a fair bit depending on which barber you get - there is a mix of a fairly core group of staff and what seems to be people just out of training. You often get ahead of the queue if someone is waiting for their preferred barber and in my experience none have given a bad cut but some are absolutely better than others. There is almost always an offer of removing nose and eyebrow hair, the guys don't make it clear there is an extra charge for this but it's only two pound or so and if they offer then you probably need it done! My top tip is don't go in too early as Chico is often in making sure everyone is set up and chasing up late staff. The staff seem to do a bit of a rush job when he is there to make sure the queue is short and he can be a little distracted if he is cutting your hair with his phone going almost constantly but he's a top man and staff are by far the most attentive Barbers around"

"Just had the worst experience at chikos. Been a loyal customer for years having haircuts and shaves. Guy in too much of a hurry this morning didnt even razor the bach of my neck or around the hairline, didnt offer to wax my nose or ears. Youve just lost a customer who uses you every fortnight"
