"Although they don’t have huge sticks of timber they usually have what I need. Friendly staff - the manager know me by name even though I’m a fairly infrequent customer - who go out of their way to help. The only issue I have (which is with all of the builders merchants) is that they’ll price things according to fairly random criteria and if they think you’re a member of public rather than trade they’re happy to scalp you!"
