Reviews of The Cmon Inn
"Been local to here for 6 years but never visited til now. Lovely wee pub, regulars all very friendly and welcoming. Decent priced drinks too!"
"The woman who now runs this place (Roslyn) her son (John) in goodwill took memorabilia from my company (a local business) to sell via the pub/shop and also run raffles. Reason was to get funds for the shop and also helps me clear some stock. (My partner was going through cancer treatment so I didn't have time myself and the extra cash would be a bonus during the tough times). The pub/shop did run raffles, bonus balls and also ask punters to buy this memorabilia. Sadly, the shop and the owners son haven't and also refused to pay for any of this. They have ripped off a local business man who was trying to help them out. 6 months now and still waiting. They now don't respond and by the looks of it have no intention to pay for these items. I would say to anyone dealing with this lot to beware of what they offer and what they promise."
"I despise any forms of hate, ex. gender, race, size, class, etc. So I will spread the word of what your establishment stands for. It will go far since I worked in the tourism industry for many years with people from Glasgow. I beg of you to stop being homophobes and get a better life. PLEASE!"
"I visited this fetid cesspool ages ago. Worst pub I've ever been to ever. Uncleaned taps/dirty beer. Poor choice of drinks. Filthy toilets. Really quite nasty staff. They let aggressive people stay and drink there. Oh and apparently they throw people out for being gay? Atmosphere sounds great eh? Not only that. On the occasion this happened that I've been informed of. A staff member also kept the money handed over by the gay lady in question. When she violently threw her out the pub and followed the lady outside, uttering threats. When I went there. It was just a dive bar. Now it seems to also employ and condone the actions of thieving bigots to boot. Avoid."
"Had a horrific experience at this pub last night. Within the first five minutes the woman who was sitting to my right urinated all over herself because she was so drunk. After my second drink I mentioned to someone I was gay. The barmaid overheard and told me I had to leave. I had done nothing wrong. I was frog marched out and hurt my neck. I recieved more abuse from the barmaid outside who also tried to intimidate me by walking up an ally with me and making threats as I was going home. Terrifying. The place really is a cesspool. If you are anti bigotry avoid at all costs. :("
