"Both times I have been to this venue we have been met by the extremely rude owner in which the bar is named after. First time being over a year ago, got told off by her for the whole group not enjoying the champagne we had already paid for. Thought we’d give the benefit of the doubt and have a quick drink before going home last night and after having a sip of our drinks decided to leave as they didn’t taste right, met by Shelley blocking the door and shouting at us after telling her we didn’t enjoy the drinks. Very rude and aggressive and will definitely not be giving the benefit of the doubt again. Would not recommend to anyone."

"Had my daughters teen party at Shelley’s tonight. My daughter and all her friends left with big smiles on their faces and they have been messaging my daughter saying how much fun they had. The venue is very classy and stylish and all the staff were professional and polite. Shelly was so helpful from start to finish. I will definitely be booking again in future."

"Just left the ABSOLUTE RIP OFF RUDE VENUE THAT IS SHELLEY'S BAR in hornchurch. Ordered a Pint of Diet Coke and a pint of Lemonade. Gave £20 note and got given less just over £7 change I said that can't be right and she said yeah it is soft drinks cost a lot of money. I said can I speak to the owner surely.you can't charge people over £6 for a soft drink and she was like I am the owner. She then rolled her eyes like we are peasants for not wanting to pay her extortionate prices so she then said I'm rude and I was like I'm totally leaving and she said good it's your fault for ordering a pint you should have ordered half a pint. I said who are you to tell me what size drink I should order????? Quite happily never returning as told to by the rude owner ripping people off. Disgusting attitude!!"

"I booked Shelley's for Fathers Day and was really pleased I did! I loved the new décor, especially the 'flower wall' and the beautiful mirrored pictures. The food was delicious and considering Shelley (the owner) was one man down (one of the chefs) on a busy day the service was impeccable. I ordered the chicken wings starters and lamb shank for main. All the food was piping hot and the lamb shank was so tender, it was falling off the bone. The side dishes was fairly generous! No request was too big for the waitress staff either. The restaurant was playing some fab tunes in the background, not too low and not too loud and there was plenty of room between tables, no over crowding and it was nice to walk outside if you needed some fresh air or a cigarette. I cannot wait to go back and try the pork belly and have a dessert this time (if I am not too full!) Thanks again for making Fathers day a hit for my dad and my boyfriend. Laura"
