"Hotel is full of nice old character features, room spacious but no drawer space & very limited wardrobe. Bathroom new, but toilet seat loose. Service at breakfast not up to standard, tables half set & server dropped our toast on the floor, then forgot to bring replacement, poor considering we were the only couple in there at that time. Coffee only luke warm, but food realy nice. Excellent value on 2for1 night deal."

"I have known this hotel for many years, but never personally stayed before this month. Good service and nice staff. We didn't eat so am not able to comment on the food. The only reason I have only given it 3 stars is because it badly needs a bit of money spent on it! I know times are hard but it is incredibly dated! It's a beautiful old house and would get 5 stars for a bit of love put into the carpets and walls."
