"I can't fault the Original Rosslyn Inn. The food is delicious and freshly cooked every time. Staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to chat to you. Nothing is a problem even when asking to put the lovely fire on on a chilly night. I can't rate the rooms as such as we are local."
"We had lunch for three and everyone agreed the food and service was first class. We had the choice of eating in the lounge or the conservatory we chose the latter and it was very comfortable considering it was a cold December day. The lounge looked even more homely and welcoming with it's open fire. Will try there the next time"
"We had lunch at the inn. We were welcomed at the door and taken through hallways to a beautiful bar with tables and a fireplace. Service was friendly and efficient. The salmon was excellent, the onion rings were very good, and the fish and chips were only ok (they were crisp, but oily with little taste). The back of the menu had a good story about how they survived the pandemic by caring for their team. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it."
"Our first visit to a Scottish pub and our server Danielle was so wonderful. She was very helpful and accommodating, immediately putting us at ease. Dinner at the inn was amazing! We decided on traditional Scottish fare. It was delicious and served piping hot. We ended on a sweet note with sticky toffee pudding and coffee. We enjoyed dinner by the cozy fireplace, and our waitress Jessica was very sweet, attentive, and helpful to the two traveling grandmother's from Wisconsin. Cheers!"
"My room was comfortable. Just the right size for two people. The hospitality was great. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They help me with some information about the town of Roslin and bus schedule to get to Edinburgh. I had breakfast and dinner which were both great. The whole tail scampi and fish and chips were delicious. If I ever return to Scotland again I will definitely stay at the inn."
