"Some great walks around here and mainly flat so would suit all abilities, The nature reserve here is really good with river and wetland areas easily viewable across the river so not disturbed by walkers so lots of birds attracted. Wetland easily viewable and right next to the road/car park so but that means on a good sunny day the car parks (all free) can fill up very quickly."
"Leisurely walks and calming views are accompanied by a well kept marina. There are some public parking spaces and some private ones. The area is popular with cyclists and walkers. There are several canalside views, with benches to rest and enjoy the usually quiet environment The marina is privately owned and has moorings, electric, water and a toilet block. It is a community in and of itself. The road into the Lemonroyd canalside is the blot on the otherwise lovely scene. The road surface is very poor and really needs improvement. There are no street lights, so a daytime visit is the only advised option. There are no disabled facilities or public toilets. The nearest shop is a mile up hill in Oulton. A pleasant place for a sunny stroll."
