"Had my daughters 10th birthday party at Rothwell swimming pool, and the guy who looked after me from start to finish was extremely helpful! He made the whole party worth it, he helped set up the room ensuring that we had everything we needed, and was polite about it. He was helpful through out the whole party he made it really easy. Thanks ☺️ Vid ! Honestly I would recommend this for kids, the float was great and I (mum) got in the pool to help the kids. Did a little swim test or not if the kids didn’t want to see how well they swam to ensure their safety. Plenty of staff watching aswell make sure they are ok, Vid was great tho thank you."

"Good range of gym classes and machines, which I have used several years. However a number of machines have been broken for afew months and not fixed and there are leaky taps, toilets and broken toilet handle not fixed for some time. Think it's about time the gym equipment was replaced for example the rowers have minimal resistance even on level 10, spin bikes getting abit rickety. Probably budget issues after covid etc but our membership price did go up afew months ago so hoping the gym machines at least will be fixed. Not bothered about the leaks but it's a constant waste of water which presumably will add to overheads. It could do with extra hairdryers too although thankyou for fitting an actual hairdryer in the swimming changing room to replace the high up handdryer."
"I had swimming lessons here when I was at school in the 90s and it hasn’t changed at all since then! Really needs updating and it just feels dirty now and old. The floors were dirty when I went so it isn’t cleaned enough. Also the pool is not big enough and you end up knocking into the people either side of you with your legs and arms as there isn’t enough space. Wakefield council swimming pools are much more modern and cleaner!"
