"Generally speaking my experience has been; Overall?... Staff are rude, poorly educated and generally miserable. Do not be fooled by the 5star reviews on here; I suspect they (most) are not truly genuine. I often get the feeling there's a "shop culture' in this franchised run shop of its OK to be moody and make no effort... with minimal 'soulless' stone faced staff (often just 2) split between stocking shelves and being glued to the till. Little wonder such a high turn over of staff.. meaning the ones that don't leave are probably the ones that can't leave as they unemployable in reputable customer focussed stores, where a smile, intelligent mind and a good command of English is a requirement! Are they just that way, or so overworked and untrained (hating their job but realising they wouldn't be able to get a better job)? In sort, don't expect an impartial friendly and professional service. One exception to the rule is the young Caucasian girl (who works some mornings) who does strike me as more humble and willing to make a effort. But she is the one exception I can think of right now as some staff have left and the remaining seem there purely for the money. Oh, and be sure to check your change and receipts as it's not uncommon to be charged more than the price displayed or get less than you should.. This is particular important for vulnerable or elderly customers who typically will accept what their are charged etc at face value. And should either of these things happen and you politely query your receipt/payment/change etc... do not expect an friendly, helpful or apologetic response, but rather a defensive response followed by being fobbed off with some lame excuse. Gone are the old days when local shopkeepers/store staff were friendly helpful characters you could trust! Not perfect, but a much better experience, more staff and friendlier atmosphere at the other nearby OneStop Stores (Vicarage Road)."

"This is my nearest convenience shop but after witnessing so many unpleasant incidents I have decided to shop elsewhere. One member of staff (withholding name) is so rude not only to customers but other staff too. It is not professional to bad mouth colleagues to customers and to bawl at other staff. No wonder there is such a high turnover of staff! The person in question does work hard but customer skills are none existent. Never come across such unprofessional conduct, appalling!"
