"My son and I had Sunday roast here today it was delicious. Great selection of vegetables and just the right amount. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Would recommend the food here. Car park directly opposite."
"We popped in one afternoon during half term. Very friendly staff. Prompt service. A good selection of beers. After a few drinks we looked at the menu and decided to stay for a late lunch early dinner. Lots to choose from on the menu. The food was really nice. Freshly made and presented nicely. We all enjoyed our food. This was our 3rd night in Castleton and would say this was the best food we’ve had so far. Thanks very much."
"Lovely hotel located within a charming pub. Easy car park located across the street. Upon arrival to the pub we were greeted by the bar's waitstaff. With our first drinks in hand we were shown to our room. The room was comfortable and roomy. We were offered a chance to book a table for the evening when we checked in. We enjoyed dinner and drinks in the pub and everything was delicious. This pub is dog friendly. We did not notice much noise from the pub downstairs or traffic from the road just outside our window. Since the hotel does not offer a breakfast, we took the recommendation from staff to enjoy breakfast at Tilly's, just a short walk into town. It was delish!"
"Went for a meal and drinks. The decor is very eclectic but all fits together somehow. The food is slightly pricey but in today's market it is not unusually so. It's worth paying for as the food is absolutely lovely. I had one of the burgers and I would highly recommend it. There is a good selection of beers on tap as well."
"Stayed here one night on a walking holiday. Castleton is touristy in a very fun way, but the hotel is a little ways away from the main bits, which made it a bit quieter at night in a good way. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating-- they helped with an early checkout and a quick dinner reservation. The hotel is just a few rooms over the pub, so might get noisy on a busy night. The room itself was very large and had an extremely comfortable bed and two chairs. Although a couple windows didn't open, there was a ceiling fan (much appreciated on a hot night). Had a lovely stay and would come back in a heartbeat."
