"It was a pleasant experience to visit this beautiful park. It's in the middle of residential areas, reasonably large with hilly terrain. The walkways are wide. There are two beautiful small lakes with plenty of ducks to feed. There is a kids' play area and a court for basketball/football practice. I loved it."
"Really nice park. My Westie loves it!! ETA-: A very nice, well kept park that is split in two halves by a railway line and you can often see and hear trains going by. The first half of the park has the Leisure Centre and car park, also a large, well equipped children's playground. There are toilets inside the leisure centre that are available for park users. This half of the park is rather hilly and can be difficult for people with limited mobility, there are plenty of benches to rest on and watch the world go by. Handsworth Cricket Club is also in this half of the park, with lots of grass and benches to sit on to watch play. There is also a basketball court and outdoor gym equipment in this half. Crossing over the railway line is by a bridge built at the same time as the park in blue brick (late Victorian), you then walk down a fairly steep incline to the park pool, which is a really pleasant walk, and flat! Lots of ducks and geese on the pool to watch and lots of benches to rest on. Parking is Holly Road side of the park, a large well set out car park with plenty of spaces. There isn't a cafe in the park, but there are shops fairly near both sides of the park. If traveling by bus, the 101 stops in Grove Lane right outside the park, or on the other side, the 16 stops almost outside the main park gates. I do recommend this park as a really pleasant community park with events going on all year. Btw, my Westie still loves it!!"
"Was last here in 2017 to relax and read. It's very big place. From what I remember it Was Very clean from and fairly peaceful at certain times.. unless you have many walkers or strollers. Overall safe, easy to get to. Might visit again soon as living in Birmingham I've managed to avoid entering nature for far too long!"
"One of the best parks i have ever been too and would definitely reccomend bringing pets, children, people who love nature and fishing to come to this park. Very spacious and massive parkm lots of trees and nature and playgrounds for kids. There's also a playground for teenagers. One of the best parks I've been too and will keep going to this same park most of the time."
