"A delightful holiday village complete with restaurant, supermarket and luxury lodges. Situated on the doorstep of the New Forest, it was the perfect place to invite the family. We dined at Aubrey's Forest Kitchen every night, the food was wonderful and fairly priced. The luxury "accessible" lodge was fantastic with all amenities as promised. The supermarket has a full range of quality food products for the expected prices. Finally you are in the center of nature with roaming wildlife and endless pathways. This really is the place to "get away from it all"."
"A lovely wooded park. And even though you're surrounded by chalets and caravans, each are secluded by trees and bushes. The view from the Good Friday 'sandy ball' is far reaching and awesome with the windy river Avon to lead the eye. The caravan is warm and comfortable and plenty for the 6 of us."
"We had a lovely long weekend staying in a lodge with jacuzzi. The lodge was super clean, spacious and well equipped for everything we needed. The resort itself has improved miles since I last visited 15/20 years ago, but could do with some more activities to do, especially for our 18 month old (only a small soft play). Alpaca walking was nice although a bit overpriced at £20 each and the swimming pool is basic and cold. The restaurants offered a wide variety of food and we would have loved to have had dinner at Aubreys but they close early on Sundays. As it happened we had booked a lunch time slot on the app for a time AFTER the restaurant was due to close. It was by chance we were passing an hour earlier than our time slot and we stuck our head in to check. Be aware, the app seems a little temperamental. They did however manage to seat us and apologised profusely so it's not the staff who were at fault. The site has lovely walks. Be prepared to climb if you do the walk that brings you up by the dog walking fields however, it's hilly especially with a buggy! Overall a massive improvement since our last visit and it has such a nice 'chilled out vibe'. We came away happy with our choice."
"Just returned home from our first ever trip to the New Forest and Sandy Balls and we can honestly say what a brilliant time we had. Our boys aged 6 and 11 enjoyed every moment and a big shout out to the staff in the arcades for always being so patient and helpful! Our accommodation was spotless and even though the site is huge it never ever felt overcrowded or busy. We stayed in one of the luxury caravans and were so pleasantly surprised with how great it was. We hired bikes from the cycle shop on site and the guys in there were brilliant at advising which route to take and we enjoyed our bike ride so much. Nothing was ever too much trouble for any of the staff. Thanks for making our weekend away so enjoyable, we have already recommended the resort to several people."
"For the money it was a little on the expensive side, but the lodge that we had was roomy with some nice touches. The hot tub was great and checked regularly. There was plenty of activities for both adults and kids It was a little sparse on serving dishes, we had one medium sized glass mixing bowl, and one medium sized glass casserole dish, that was it between 10 guests so we had to get creative and at one point had to ask to borrow from one of our neighbours (family who was staying at the same time with us) But other than that the kitchen was quite well kitted out. You have to book sessions at the pool though. I can understand why but if you have a young family you may want to be able to go on the spur of the moment. Personally I would book somewhere that doesn't need to restrict numbers like that. I might go back if we had something specific arranged in that part of the country."
