"I’d give zero stars if this was an option! We had rented a property via the Kew team for the past 3 years and were reliable tenants who had very little contact with B&R during our time renting. When we notified them we would not be renewing for another year and moved out, we quickly realised how difficult it would be to get our deposit back! We chased several times through email to retrieve our deposit via Miles, our property manager. We responded to requests to provide proof of closing our utilities quickly in order to speed up the process, although this was not the case for Miles who would take days to respond or not respond at all. When we finally did receive notice of the deductions they wanted from the deposit, they were asking for cleaning costs for crumbs in the fridge (despite us having the flat professionally cleaned, leaving it in a better state then when we moved in! And for misc item left in the flat (which were either the Landlords or there when we moved in and were present on check in form!). By this point we were so stressed out trying to chase the deposit and have been moved out a month at this point, we thought it was pointless delaying further time trying to argue these deductions and took the loss. We were advised that our deposit would be returns to us within 10 working days of signing the agreement. When it wasn’t returned we again chased Miles several times without any response. After notifying them we had raised a complaint with The Tenancy Deposit Scheme for withholding our deposit, Katrina responded to our email to say they didn’t have the evidence we had closed our utilities (for some reason they cannot communicate between the team to transfer this information and require us to resend it ). Again trying to move this along quickly, we resent it - only to be told that they didn’t accept them as evidence despite Chris (another team member) confirming by email that the evidence we provided was sufficient. We again had to chase to move this forward and We finally received our deposit 2 months after moving out of the property. Wouldn’t recommend anyone use this company, unless you enjoy being ignored and doing endless chasing for people to do their jobs and answer emails. Really poor customer service"

"I have always found B&R to be most efficient and effective in the letting of my property. Most recently they alerted me that a tenancy was due to expire along with a 'recommended' monthly charge that I accepted and a new tenant was identified without a break."
