"Good place to go if homeless or looking for somewhere to stay for a while"
"Very helpful and friendly staff."
"Was sent there on probation for a driving offence would of preferred jail not fit for human consumption. Staff rude. Manager a stuck up prick."
"Ridley Road Market is pretty damn special. Actually, it definitely isn't pretty. Or fragrant. Or a pleasant shopping experience. If you're after any of those things, then you really need to be at Waitrose. But if you want to pick up an armful of peaches (£1), a portion of shredded beef (£2.50) or Return of BlackBerry Babes on DVD (£5) then Ridley Road Market is where you need to be. Stall owners range from inappropriately flirty (dude, I'm with my mum) to brisk or downright insane. One woman selling handbags "direct from Paris" at her stall insisted on customers dancing with her to celebrate her birthday. On a weekend afternoon be prepared to power through the prams and hardcore shoppers (you know, the ones with wheelie bags). But the thrill you'll get from finding such an array of goodies will certainly outweigh any shopper rage."
