"If you do not mind the possibility of rats and everything dirty inside the room (except the bedding), it's one of the cheapest accommodations you can find in London. The common bathroom was not so terribly dirty, it was fine. The receptionist was kind. Really do not recommend it."
"Summary: unsafe, dirty, smelly, worn down room in much need of tlc in a great location. Be warned, advise not to stay here, spend a bit more on a nicer place. Details: Pros: great location, state of the property and the rooms will make you get outside more. Cons: Unsafe (front door very flimsy and doesn't lock properly, room door held together by cardboard and a nail - see pictures) Dirty (stairs, toilet, shower, floor, room) Smelly (smells musty and unable to open windows) Worn down room - (holes in walls, glass on floor, dirty sink and surfaces, dirty cups in cupboard) Not particularly good value for money!"
"This is easily the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The single pro is that it's in a good location. The whole building is filthy, it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. There was broken glass on the floor of the room, which I luckily spotted before stepping on it. The bathroom was beyond dirty, and I didn't shower all weekend, as I'd have come out dirtier than when I went in. Jumping in the Thames would be cleaner. The lock on the room door was broken, and botched together with folded cardboard and a nail. The bed was massively uncomfortable, with broken springs and bent slats, it was also filthy. It may seem cheap, but I don't consider £60 a night cheap when the accomodation is so dirty that it's a breach of Health and Safety. The London hotel equivalent of Fyre Festival."
"Let’s comment step by step: staff highly recommended because of their kindness and well service; as for the location, no complains about it (Paddington Station is about five minutes walking, and Hyde Park maybe 10/15); and last but not least, comfort, which absolutely could be improved but considering the price you pay for it you can’t complain. The kitchen is very well equipped and it saved us from spending a lot of money on street food."
"*DO NOT BOOK A ROOM AT THIS HOTEL!* This hotel is the worst accommodation I have ever experienced by far. The entire experience was incredibly unpleasant. - The building desperately needs investment, which is immediately apparent form the second you walk in. - The building smells dirty and you will not escape the smell. - The walls are paper thin and you can hear noise from the rest of the building and neighbouring buildings. - The windows are single glazed, cracked and don’t close properly and a do not shield the noise from the busy street outside. - There is a very bright street light at the front and the curtains are paper thing (like the walls!) and do not shield the light from the form. - The bathroom is FILTHY. We chose not to shower rather than use the facility and used pub toilets instead. (I cannot stress enough how dirty the bathroom was.) - The wi-if didn’t work as it had been suspended by Talk Talk due to non-payment of bills. - The lock on the bedroom door was broken. - The bed was almost at floor level and very uncomfortable. The duvet was paper thin (like the walls and curtains!). - The smoke alarms in the room had no batteries. - The smoke alarms on the landing was beeping all night long. I woke at intervals of 15 minutes and it felt like torture. *DO NOT BOOK A ROOM AT THIS HOTEL!*"
